Chocolate Brownie Trifle

1 pkg. brownies (13 x 9 size), baked according to package directions for cake-like brownies. Poke holes approx. 1″ apart with two-pronged meat fork. Brush over this 1/4 cup Kahlua or strong coffee. Crumble.
3 pkgs. (4 serving size) chocolate fudge instant pudding, prepared according to package directions
1 HUGE tub of Cool Whip
1 pkg. crushed Heath bar bits (if unavailable, crush enough Heath bars to equal 2 cups)

In clear glass salad bowl or trifle bowl (large), layer half the crumbled brownies, half the pudding, and half the Cool Whip, followed by 1 C. or half the package Heath bar bits. Repeat layers. Serve and watch it disappear!

Light Banana Split Cake

1 box angel food cake
1 20 oz. can crushed pineapple (keep juice)
sliced bananas
frozen strawberries, thawed
Cool Whip (plain or strawberry)

Spray a 13″x9″ glass (not metal) cake pan with cooking spray.

In a large bowl, mix cake mix, and pineapple. Put into dish and cook at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes. Cool in pan on rack. When cool, slice bananas on top and cover with either strawberry or plain Cool Whip, and refrigerate.

When serving, spoon thawed strawberries with juice over the top and place on a plate with a zig zag design made with Hershey’s chocolate syrup. Sprinkle with nuts, if desired.

Brownie Frosting

2 squares unsweetened baking chocolate
1/4 c. margarine
2 c. powdered sugar

Melt margarine and chocolate. Combine all ingredients and beat until smooth.

Ridiculously Easy Cheesecake

1 can of lemon pie filling
8 oz. cream cheese
graham cracker pie crust

Bake graham cracker crust for about 5 minutes at 350 degrees and let cool. Mix lemon pie filling with softened cream cheese. Pour filling into graham cracker crust.

For a fancier dessert, prepare two crusts and top each with your favorite fruit pie filling or with whipped topping.

Pound Cake

1 box yellow cake mix
5 eggs
8 oz carton sour cream
1/4 t. sugar
2 T. poppy seed
2/3 cup oil
1 t. vanilla

Mix ingredients together. DO NOT ADD ADDITIONAL LIQUID OTHER THAN WHAT IS LISTED ABOVE. Grease Bundt pan with Baker’s Joy or similar spary. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until done.

Apple Tea Ring

2 tubes biscuits
1 can Apple Pie Filling
1/4 cup butter melted
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 tsp dinnamon
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup pecans or walnuts

In a saucepan, melt butter,add all the other ingredients except biscuits. Stir well until combined. Grease a bundt pan, cut all biscuits into quarters. Put about 1/3 of cooked mixture into pan, layer 1/3 of the biscuits on top. Put another layer of biscuits, then another layer of saucee, then the last of the biscuits and rest of the sauce. Bake 350 45 minutes. Let set in pan 5-10 minutes before turning it over on to a plate.

Any other type of pan will work also, but the bundt pan makes an impressive presentation. Good with a mixed fruit compote for a nice and easy breakfast for guests.

Apple Pudding Cake

This is so easy and very good. It smells divine baking. You prepare it in the cake pan that you bake it in. Serve with cool whip while warm.

3/4 cup of firmly packed brown sugar
1 cup all purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon
1/2 cup of milk
2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1 large apple peeled and diced
3/4 cup of brown sugar
1 cup hot apple juice or cider

Combine brown sugar, flour, baking powder, and cinnamon and put in lightly greased pan. Add milk, oil, vanilla, and brown sugar. Stir till well blended. Stir apple into mixture. Sprinkle top with brown sugar and pour apple juice or cider on top. Bake for 350 degrees or until a cake layer forms on the top. Cool slightly and serve.

No-Fat Chocolate Cake with Peanut Butter Icing

1 chocolate cake mix
1 can Diet Coke or Diet Pepsi
Mix together (batter will be a little thicker than usual.

Bake in a greased pan at 350ยบ until a toothpick inserted in the middle of the cake comes out clean. Cool completely.

Icing

1 tub Fat-Free Cool Whip
2 tbsp. peanut butter
Mix together and ice cake. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight. No guilt. Enjoy!
